https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-multimedia/libgig.git/tree/debian/libgig7.install libgig.so.7 is not installed in the default library search path so dpkg cannot find it. If you try to run this version of qsampler, it will almost certainly fail with a ld.so error. If libgig is now a private library, then arguably no applications should be using it. If not it should be installed in the system library path. Perhaps you should ask upstream why they changed the install path?
