I still run flactag daily against my entire music collection, and despite the errors I have had no issues using the data returned from MusicBrainz to tag my FLAC files. Please provide as much detail as possible regarding which release you are having an issue with, and any error messages you have received. An HTTP error sounds more like some transient problem at MusicBrainz's end perhaps.
