I don't have any strong opinion on this choice. It's used to render characters in i18n of the GUI and I kept using the Droid font because this was/is the one upstream provided as per-default. If you tell me that fonts-droid-fallback will stay in the archives for some (long) time, then it could be a good alternative. Otherwise, DejaVu is good as well. Cheers. mfv
