I have no experience with running XBMC/Kodi on rpi/rpi2. Since you compile it yourself you can ask aroud upstream: http://kodi.wiki/view/Raspberry_Pi_2
You can also check XBian for configuration flags/patches. http://www.xbian.org/raspberry-pi-2-landed/ When the freeze is over I'll check if I can merge their patches if needed.
