Package: mpv
Version: 0.6.2-2
Severity: important

Hello,

when you use mpv with bigger files it happens that mpv consumes all RAM and
swap and the system gets unusable.

The mpv team investigated the issue:

https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/1204

It looks like there is a problem with libav. But there is a patch.

I think there are two solutions:

 * compile with ffmpeg
 * patch libav

I filed the bug here, because i only experience the problem with mpv.

Thanks for maintaining mpv.

Greetings
Moritz

The fix is included in libav 11.1 which is now available in
