Dear Maintainer,

    * What led up to the situation?
XBMC is in a window, playing certain videos: xvid, or decoded bluray copied
to hard drive. VDPAU hardware decoding is enabled.
    * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
      ineffective)?
going full screen by pressing the \ key
    * What was the outcome of this action?
segfault. See attached crash logs.
    * What outcome did you expect instead?
no segfault
I see no segfault in the attached logs.
Could you please attach a log file with a crashdump?
I'd love to, some specific and detailed instructions could help..

In other types of video files, what I observe is a black screen instead of
continued video playback, lasting a few seconds, then XBMC kind of
fast-forwards through the last few seconds of missed video until it catches
up.
From the logs it seems something is slow in VDPAU:
...
20:52:15 T:140235430156032  NOTICE: CVDPAU::Check waiting for display
reset event
20:52:18 T:140236907264064 ERROR: CheckDisplayEvents - no display
event after 3 seconds
20:52:18 T:140236907264064 DEBUG: CheckDisplayEvents - notify
display reset event
...

Can you observe similar issues with mpv & VDPAU with the same files?
Nah, took trouble to confirm this is very xbmc-specific, worked fine in previous versions of the debian package, and still works on the same machine with mpv & vdpau. It also causes problems with my other OLAND card but that's pulled out atm due to other crashes..

Cheers,
Balint
