I will make a separate blog post for XBMC trying to be more balanced. I already blog about XBMC's state in Debian regularly [1] and it gets aggregated to planet.d.o thus most of our users are probably aware of the revived packages. There is one post in the works about latest updates but I wanted to give a few days to Libav to fix the VDPAU bug [1] hurting many users.
I have added a note about forked-daapd, which I think would be interesting for users.
