That won't be necessary, because this is already fixed upstream since August 2013 as part of commit 18fbf7fd17a0f4e9cabcc2e34ac54b210ba08b27. But since 2.1.5 is still affected, could you please apply my patch in Debian? You could also backport upstreams fix, if you prefer, but that seems to contain unrelated changes and I'm not sure if backporting this commit alone works.
