I am the upstream maintainer of easytag, and I was just looking into doing this update myself. Thanks very much for your work on this, I would appreciate it if a Debian multimedia maintainer could look into getting your changes merged, as 2.1.10 has many stability fixes over 2.1.9 and 2.1.8 before that.
I have only dabbled in Debian packaging before, although I maintain the Fedora package, and your changes look fine to me.
