Package: ffmpeg Version: 6:0.8.7-1 The current version of ffmpeg in debian is 6:0.8.7-1 while the current official release is 2.0. Updating to this version would also fix bug#716734 The latest version can be found at http://www.ffmpeg.org/download.html#release_2.0
