Hash: SHA512
Package: audacious
Version: 2.4.4-1
Severity: important
The newest audacious will crash when gvfsd is disabled (dpkg-divert
- --rename --local --add /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd).
Background:
I want to use audacious in replace to xmms that is not in debian
anymore. However, I do not use any other gnome desktop stuff nor KDE
stuff. I want to have a clean desktop box with no or only the necessary
daemons running. (I use fvwm as windowmanager and mostly xterms.)
Since some time audacious get segmentation fault when I starting it. Now
I tracked that down to the new use of gvfsd. This for its own would be
acceptable if that shity gvfsd would stop when I stop audacious.
Unfortunately it wont and increasing using resources that I do not want
to spent for them. So the only way to get ridge of that is to disable it
completely.
This was fine until few months ago when audacious start to not start
anymore.
