Thanks a lot for your suggestion. The 'playback only' option fixes the issue. No more aborts. Totem works, Pure data works (after manual selection of the Jack backend). I hope I will never ever be forced to record audio. ;-) Yes, I'm not familiar with all the parameters and components of the Linux sound infrastructure and honestly I'm not motivated to learn about them. I hope one day there will be a zero-configuration audio infrastructure. *dream* :-) Cheers, Simon -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJOpbVcAAoJEMMF4eNtCPQVZD0QAJij8dE/NhN57hdzEdwUjhJK P7+z2AWP56ZQjVcvYgMH8J5pUBmV6k+PjaC1LWs8ktHgPZHiVkvKnHWFDMP8Y8Bv vWrKoPbDyv5nW3mVsB7DPj4wPo+AILAvyGNd83kHzTYbcrpRquzE2J7llOGrNPZ4 3rgaQaY8z8vyF1ypdCJRdOwljL/bHjO1gWzhNIumE6Qkk0I83YWcHecnpfCXe8jh jniHD5feybFSDJcm6kgRXsvx2aipOiBuCw+Y9WUH+VdrUnKYu62/xG++sMwZUcpl VBm6h/5CmvNahDhHcFSA/7jtaORJ5/jCbeEFoAWpsjCYVm71Yv+5XIj6xpvNnpav eQiOZ2JoALaEITvRuXuF8goJM2f9kq1HtoWPsOpy3yA59vr6wU3k2d1QCjmiLEci 30GfS1jVtmA3hsZ3E7w3JCDLd7xa5GzO0/U5ChbYOjk+IpJLHMqPLoPtd8kFDIRE pJcSJni1D2GBs/6ea/fJa69dPkr93xF0jmm7CKSuEXXK3dmrC2dA35ng0AJomPg/ jRXne+fRNIwsAypZb7Us0PLEk3DiwhF1ItD9PwrJ7D08G8kHl0FgU08CgVGaLuZX A93JhqDzJRBhg/euwTq/tufp2yBKoyB/a94EYUVmOMnObMdrcf360MqvjcTFB7JG g1KlX5rsFUICOiYYs2zT =gY9x -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
