Package: mediatomb Version: 0.12.1-2 Severity: normal Tags: upstream I'm guessing about the "upstream" part. I happened to notice my system has a huge /var/log/mediatomb.log.5 file that's still being written.
The /etc/logrotate.d/mediatomb script specifies that a pkill -HUP mediatomb should be performed after rotating logfiles, but I verified (with lsof and interactive use of kill -HUP) that the daemon appears to ignore this signal. As an interim workaround, I'm kludging my logrotate script to just stop and restart the daemon, which is rather heavy-handed.
