Package: mplayer
Version: 2:1.0~rc3++final.dfsg1-1

I installed mplayer and mplayer-gui from Debian testing. When I run gmplayer I
get the following error message:

"gmplayer: relocation error: gmplayer: symbol codec_wav_tags, version
LIBAVFORMAT_52 not defined in file libavformat.so.52 with link time reference."

You can find a similar bug report with number "bug=595241". The bug seems to be
not fixed till now.

The explanation is still valid. You have replaced your system
libavformat52 package with something newer than ffmpeg 0.5. This may be
either the package from experimental or from debian-multimedia.org. Both
will cause the symptom you are reporting.

My suggestion: Either upgrade to mplayer in experimental or revert to
ffmpeg libraries from squeeze.

Since there is nothing to fix, I'm closing this bug with this email.
