When I play a file with VLC and want to open another file while VLC is still
running the sound of the new file refuses to play.
E.g. VLC is running and I want to play a file with ogg123

The other way round: I play a file with ogg123 and now want to open a
file in
VLC, VLC says as a popup notice in the GUI (debug log attached):

In this case VLC begins to play the file but without sound.
To me it seems like VLC locks all alsa devices on startup and if another
program uses alsa VLC refuses to play sound.
