FluidSynth 1.1.2 was released a week ago and I thought of trying to
package it. For this version, CMake is the new recommended build system,
so I am trying to switch to it.
Things are going pretty well (nothing committed to alioth yet), but I
noticed that the CMake build system no longer has generates an .a file.
I'm not a linking expert, so - does this matter? Programs seem to link
fine with the .so anyway.
Second, git-buildpackage seems to believe it is a native package:
dpkg-buildpackage: full upload; Debian-native package (full source is
included)
Now running lintian...
W: fluidsynth source: debian-watch-file-in-native-package
W: fluidsynth source: native-package-with-dash-version
How do I avoid that? Should I change the current directory from
.../fluidsynth to ..../fluidsynth-1.1.2? Doesn't that contradict the git
packaging paradigm?
Third, Squeeze is now frozen. Can this version still go into unstable,
or does it have to go into experimental?
