Yes, I also noticed. I believe this is because I adjusted debian/gbp.conf to not touch the upstream tarball at import anymore just *after* I imported the new tarball. So git-import-orig believed it had to remove the debian/ directory and repack the tarball although this has become unnecessary.

I've updated the pristine-tar branch to match upstream's tarball.
