When I download/import pictures from USB devices file permissions of the images
on disk are different for landscape and portrait orietation of the images.
This happens on JPG format but not with CR2 images.
I suppose this is an effect of JPG images being rotated according to their
orientation
and in this process being saved with new permissions.
This behavior is not very consistent and should not happen IMHO.
Thank you very much,
Sebastian

Tested with Digikam 5.2.0 and found the issue is resolved: the rotated
file preserves the original permissions.
