My apologies. That loss of functionality was unintended. I am not sure
why your tags are not part of Lintian, but you should should not have
to resolve or watch out for namespace conflicts with other packages.

I now placed them in lintian/tags/p/* (except all tags were prefixed
with 'pkg-perl/', so they effectively reside in
lintian/tags/p/pkg-perl). That may work with current versions of
Lintian, but I am not sure.
Any testing would be appreciated. If the adjustments to your Makefile
are too complex, I could perhaps ask the maintainers of pkg-js-tools
for an evaluation. They seem to move at light speed!
