Try reconfiguring the ca-certificates package and enable at least the COMODO/Comodo certificates because those are used for *.tile.openstreetmap.org: sudo dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates I suspect you chose not to add new certificates automatically causing the new Comodo CA certificate to be missing.
