Package: mapserver-bin

Severity: wishlist
File: mapserver

map server website has a tutorial that is supposed to run out of the
box.
However I couldn't manage to run it like that on a debian system.
It would be nice if this application could run out of the box when
installed a debian package.
the adress for the tutorial is
http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/new_users/index_html#build-your-first-mapserver-app

Thanks, Oz

It works after having configured mapserver, apache and moved all files
in the right place. Definitively it is not out-of-the-box and never
thought to be so. If you are concerned about the quality of the tutorial
stuff, please notify mapserver upstream. But please write a report that
could be used for improving the situation, not a general comment about
that. Thanks.
