Dear Sirs, Telekom Germany (@t.-online.de) killed SSLv3 protocol (since Oct., 24th 2014). Due to my latest info, other providers in-between also killed SSLv3 by security reasons!
With Evolution ver. 3.4.4-3 it is NOT possible to connect to Telekom IMAP server "secureimap.t-online.de" on port 993 with SSL encryption. To send e-mails through SMTP server "securesmtp.t-online.de" on port 587 with TLS encrytion is possible! In-between I installed Icedove ver. 31.2.0. With this e-mail program it is possible to send and receive e-mails w/o any restrictions! Pls. find further infos in Evolution e-mail configuration incl. bug description in attached files. Further I tried upgrading to latest stable Evolution e-mail client ver. evolution_3.12.7-1_amd64.deb. By reason of Debian wheezy package dependencies, this upgrade failed (it might function, if the Debian wheezy testing OS is installed). I would be pleased in getting your feedback soon incl. info until when this bug will be fixed and uploaded into Synaptic Package Manager. Regards Volker Fritz
