I've noticed earlier that sometime changes in Mail Account setting seems to sometimes not be honoured before the e-mail client is restarted. For example, if I use Edit > Preferences and then edit a mail account profile, settings seems to not be active until I restart evolution. For example, I configured a postfix/dovecot setup recently, and I had misconfigured the Mail Account setting in Evolution such that when sending e-mail, I got a 'relayed error' message as I didn't authenticate to the server. I kept the e-mail editing window open, changed the settings in preferenced for the e-mail account, and the log on the server still gave the same error and feedback. I stored the message to the outbox, then shutdown Evolution, and then restarted it. Now it worked well. I've also noticed before when I play around with various settings in e-mail account profiles that there are trouble to have these activated immediately. It's not a big problem for me, but I can imagine users who input correct settings, after having input the incorrect ones, in a mail profile is confused when it's not working. It's not a very big problem, but I think it still should be fixed. Thanks. Per R.
