Package: evolution
Version: 2.26.1.1-2
Severity: important
When using the "Unread" "vFolder", Evolution sometimes automatically marks
unread mails as read. This happens every time when the list of mails is
"updated" (i.e. all read emails are removed, e.g. after replying to a
mail). Then the top most mail (or the one at the previous position of the
selection bar) is automatically selected (which is a Good Thing).
Unfortunately, this automatically marks the mail as read.
Marking mails as read simply by selecting a mail is alos a Good Thing
(because I've chosen this in the preferences). But this _must_not_ be done
when mails are selected automatically. It is very frustrating when you
can't be sure, that unread mails stay unread untail _You_ intentionally mark
it as read.

fixed 530246 3.2.2-1
thanks
Hello,
I tested your bugreport with evolution 3.2.2-1 (in wheezy and sid) and
switch to the "unread mail" marks the latest email in the folder in grey
but it doesn't changed the status to unread.
I don't know since when this is fixed so makring is fixed with 3.2.2.
Thanks for your report.
