It's the same problem as in squeeze: pkill is too old and doesn't
understand the '-F' command. Likely start-stop-daemon in 12.04 is also
too old and doesn't understand '--status'.
The old init scripts should be used for those old releases.
Thanks. We're missing a minimum version for the depends then.
I added versioned dependencies on procps and dpkg.
