Hi Sebastian,

Thank you very much for your feedback! That makes it clear.

I'm using 6.03-1, which comes with the current Ubuntu 21.04 release.
According to https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=clamtk , your
latest version 6.03-3 is in the future 21.10 release of Ubuntu, not in
the current one. So, the issue is that it was not back-ported to the
current version in Ubuntu.

Best regards,

John

Dear ClamTk Debian package maintainer,

Unfortunately, the outdated ClamTk package in the Debian/Ubuntu
repositories is outdated and makes it unusable for its main purpose, as
it is not possible to manually start a scan.

Debian bug ("grave" - seems to have been erroneously closed, as the
package has not been updated):

Are you sure? To ehich version are you referring?
The version in testing/ unstable should work. I back ported the changes and
verified that scanning files is possible.
Could you please provide the version you used and the steps you performed that
failed?

Please update the ClamTk package in the repository to the latest
version, to fix the current issue.

I can't simply upload current version due to the freeze. However, the version
testing should work as I explained above.

Thank you!

John
