That was my original inclination as well, but after creating /etc/rc.local and rebooting, httpGate had not been started. Some searching lead me to this (and a bunch of similar) articles: https://linuxmedium.com/how-to-enable-etc-rc-local-with-systemd-on-ubuntu-20-04/ And then it worked. But as you know from questions I've asked of you in the past, my linux system admin skills are, uh, not the best. Maybe the "systemd hacking" was overkill and all that was needed was 'chown'?
