What I use is pdflib in PHP 4.3.3 which comes for other languages as well. (http://www.pdflib.com, http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.pdf.php) There is also ClibPDF which I haven't tried (http://www.fastio.com, http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.cpdf.php)
