Also if you name your <select> with array notation:

    echo("<select id=qlf_opt name="rq_qlf[]" width='15' 

You will end up with an array of the selected values.

example:

// example of multiple select boxes and php arrays 

if (count($array_select) > 0) {
        ?><pre><?print_r($array_select)?></pre><?
} else {
        ?>
        <form name="blah" action="">
        <select name="array_select[]" multiple>
                <option value="one">one</option>
                <option value="two">two</option>
                <option value="three">three</option>
        </select>
        <input type="submit">
        </form>
        <?
}
?>
