Jill's reply...

I think I'm missing the same thing actually. I'm Jill Ramonsky, and after I
posted the following (which, incidently, was my very FIRST EVER post to this
list) Per Lundberg's reply appeared (which, incidently was very useful).
However, in his reply, he also said "so you may email me politely (i.e.
without using profane/blasphemous language) if you have any other
questions", which perplexed me utterly, because of course, I haven't done
anything! I'm just a newcomer to this list who posed the following question:

support

That should clarify your "what has it got to do with php?" question. As to
"If someone is posting dirty ditties can they send them again?", what I sent
is reproduced above.

It has been suggested that perhaps Per Lundberg found the phrase "How the
hell" objectionable, but if so he has not clarified this. My overwhelming
reaction is still one of amazement, because, you see, I do actually consider
myself a very polite person and wouldn't dream of uttering obscenities in a
public mailing list, so I'm feeling a bit persecuted here. I'm also
wondering if I should leave the list, as it seems an awfully sensitive
place, and the probability of someone getting upset over perfectly innocent
posts is a bit offputting. (In fact, it feels sort of like King Arthur's
bewilderment over the reaction of the Knights who say Ni to his use of the
word "it").

For myself, I promise not to take offense at anything unless I perceive a
deliberate personal attack. I'm also pretty good at PHP too, if anyone would
like to talk about that.

Jill
