Mark, This is not a "I want to point out flaws in IIS" thread. Start one if you want to, but let's keep this as "I need help with PHP installation on IIS" thread. I trying to solve the same problem that Craig is having. The last thing someone wants to hear is someone telling him to give up and switch instead of trying to resolve the problem. Leaving things unresolved is just bad advice. If you were to switch to another software everytime you run into a problem eventually you will have nothing to fall back on. Nothing is without its own problems.
Now that aside, anyone knows how to fix this problem? I am trying to solve this problem myself, but no luck at the moment. I'll post back if I find a solution. I hear you, but at the same time I think it's important to point out the problems with setting up a product with known unpatched security holes, especially to an unexperienced admin. If someone has a box that's been running IIS for a while I would keep quiet but here's somebody who is trying to set up IIS for the first time which is irresponsible from my point of view since I'm the one who'll suffer. shall I forward this guy the onslaught of codered/nimda traffic I've been receiving lately from other people's compromized IIS installations to convince him? >regards, > >Jason -- PHP Windows Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
