I have a problem related to configuring php 5.2.3 on an opteron machine centos 4 x86_64.
:/configure --with-gd ask for libpng and libjpeg, both are installed on /usr/lib if I use --with-(X)lib-dir=/usr/lib/ the configure script wasn't able to find libpng or jpeg even if they are on that directory. This is the error message: If configure fails try --with-jpeg-dir=<DIR> configure: error: libpng.(a|so) not found. There is no problem on Pentium machine same configuration but centos 4 x86. I have looked on google but I only find how to do rpm installations. I can't use rpm because a bug on gd that make my mapserver app crash. Thanks. -- Nahum Castro González León, Guanajuato, México
