Hi, thanks for the reply. I installed libxml2-2.6.23 directly from source, I'm trapped in some RHEL dependency hell (namely I can't upgrade these packages because external things like up2date need the current version) that's prevented me from using the RPMs. I haven't seen any non .rpm -devel packages so the install was attempted without one.
