[PHP-INSTALL] PHP Installation on AIX 5.2 ar not found

Hi,

I'm having a problem installing PHP on AIX 5.2.  I've downloaded the most recent snap shot of php 4.4 and I haven't been successful with the installation.  

These are the last two lines of the error:

/usr/AIX_download/php4-STABLE-200506241241/libtool[4223]: /ar:  not found
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 127.

I've added the path to where ar is in $PATH.  

I'm using gcc 3.3.2.0 as my compiler.  

I configured PHP with ./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.26.
