I'm having similar issues. (Newbie here.) Running
program from my browser, titled test.php:

<html?
<head>
<title>PHP Test</title>
</head>
<body>
<p>This is an HTML line
<p>
<?php
    echo "This is a PHP line";
?>
</body></html>

...the output is "This is an HTML line" and nothing
else. I'm *reasonably* sure I have everything
configured to spec, but obviously there's some "DOH!"
mistake I've made along the way. Help! Been at this
all day.
