I read all the help files for php and mysql but I just don't get it. What do I need to do to get my php to talk to the mysql server? Right now I have the mysql server installed and running. The build-in option for mysql for php, what does it do? if php have this builded in do I even need the mysql server then?
I keep hearing you have to edit two files to make mysql work in php but I don't find them, can you give me the full dir of where they are located and what do I put in the files.
