I would appreciate any help or suggestions I can get.

I have Win XP, 2.8 GHz, 1G RAM and have Apache2 installed and running. I tried initially to install PHP as a module. However, Apache2 wouldn't start and it appears that the reason is that the line AddModule mod_php4.c in the httpd.conf file caused the problem. I searched my hard drive for the mod_php4.c file and it is not there. The php-4.3.6-Win32.zip does not include this file. I then tried to configure PHP as a CGI application and all I get is a blank screen. I can rum php.exe from the command prompt at c:/php, but that's it.

I have looked over everything dozens of times and I can't find anything wrong with my attempt to get it to run as a cgi application. I also don't have a clue where mod_php4.c is, so I can't try the module approach.

I am now frustrated and confused. The instructions don't seem all that difficult, but now I need some help. I assume that apache is installed and running properly as long as the Apache Service Monitor show that it is running.

Any suggestions?
