I get the following mesage when I attempt to configure php php-4.3.4 on a Dell Optiplex GX 270 running Red Hat Linux version 2.4.9-e.30. The machine has 1 gig of menory and an 80 gig IDE hard drive.
As you can see, the configure fails and directs me to the debug.log. I have copied the brief listing of the debug log below the attention box. This is my first attempt to install and configure php ( a proof of concept test), and the debug.log seems to be rather lacking in an error mesage that would point me in any direction. Any thoughts, comments and / or ridicule you send to me will surely be read with care.
The version of Apache that is installed on the server is apache 1.3.29.
Thank you, Dave Gregoire
