Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct list. Otherwise I will bother the users list. But I think this is a very special problem. Here is what I got:
The problem is regarding the following URLs: http://h41111.www4.hp.com/hps/carepack/me/eng/ http://h41111.www4.hp.com/hps/carepack/uk/eng/ http://h41111.www4.hp.com/gomobile/de/ger/ http://h41111.www4.hp.com/gomobile/ie/eng/ ....all languages! These pages are based on PHP includes (Header, Leftnav, Footer). We only have problems in the included part of the page not in the content bit which is mostly pure HTML. We are using an array ($lang['whatever'] = "translation";) to store the different language translations for each country (selecting different language includes will change the language). So, and the problem now is that intermittently we get instead of the correct $lang[] text just a "|" (pipe) displayed exactly in that placed where we use that array to display the text. Accesing the same page in the same time via a proxy or another PC may result in the same error BUT in most cases it just works at it should be. I assume therefore there is a problem with one of the server, because this URL is using a load balancer (2 servers behind). I checked every server seperately but as one of our problems is that this problem only appears sporadic I didn't had any luck. Both servers are fine (maybe from another PC/Location not). May you give me advice, how we can figure out where the problem is located? I think it should not be problem of a coding view of point to use arrays for the language translations. Or what do you think? Is it more possible that it is a server problem (Apache, HPUX, PHP) or is it a problem with the PHP script? Did somebody reported such an problem before? Can you imagine how this can happen? Any hint can help me! Do you think it's either the Webserver, PHP or any other module? As well the problem do not appear on the staging server http://h41111.bbn-stage.europe.hp.com/hps/carepack/me/eng/ http://h41111.bbn-stage.europe.hp.com/gomobile/ie/eng/ ...
