I have been running the latest versions of Apache2 and PHP4 for some time now, while converting from a set of Builder5 Applications. It is getting near to the point when I have to decide on a production environment, and so I am wondering if I should stay with Apache2 (prefork setup), which has been running quite happily with simulated loads, or am I going to have to back peddle and learn about Apache1.

In addition, since I am a Firebird house, and Firebird 1.5 has reached production status, the extra facilities in PHP5 are quite a draw. What is the likely leadtime on a stable PHP5 build? My latest download of the RC2 is running with the same test load, without any problems showing up, so where am I likely to see the holes :)
