I'm trying to install PHP CLI on Mac OS X (not the server) to connect to a Oracle DB (Solaris). Downloading, installing, etc. PHP went fine. Of course compiling --with-oracle and --with-oci8 failed.
I downloaded unpacked: macosx_920_dev_rel.tar.gz
But found myself with a huge directory of files. Reading though some of the documentation showed that I would have to install Oracle server and DB. Is there any way to just install the Oracle client without installing the database?
If anyone has done this successfully, I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
