That's good and well for those of you who are in the United States but us of the rest of the world we have to wait another year or so.
I would appreciate an answer to the question I'm asking. I need a document (or URL) to show my Internet host that the read-only function for GIF is possible and has been done; I know it has since I had another server with that capability.
