Hi, I'm trying to install php-4.3.2 to a RedHat 9 - system. When I run the "make" - command I get first loads of text (I guess thats ok?) followed by several errors concerning "undefined reference to '__ctype_b'".
I've traced the problem to the renamed (in RH9) variable __ctype_b_loc (earlier it was __ctype_b) in the file '/usr/include/ctype.h'. The problem is also discussed at the RH bugzilla (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=86465). I was wondering if anybody has encountered this problem before and how he/she got past it (downgrading to RH8 ;-) ?).. I'm new to (this is my first time installing ANYTHING to Linux) *NIX-systems so the problem can simply reside between the chair and the monitor, but I'd appreciate any help you gus can give..
