well .... it takes a bit of hard learing ....
to know it all .....
every time u see an error like that know that the path is messed up or
move ur folders and files around in php folder and apache folder ......
silly..... but it works .....

Where can I find information like this for other libs? Which important >libs
have the same "problem"?

well all the libriez have to be in ur php folder .... all the ones u want to configure that iz ....

If I put libjpeg into my php directory

(/usr/local/php-4.3.0), must I spezify this path again or just --with->jpeg?

--with-gd
--with-jpeg-dir=C:\WINNT\system32\inetsrv\php\libjpeg
--with-tiff-dir=C:\WINNT\system32\inetsrv\php\tiff

these lines cum stright from ny php.ini
i guess ur workin with redhat/linux so work ur way around with the path ..... i ve no clue how paths go there ...... sorry .... :$

Which file has to be copied into my php-dir? libjpeg.so.62?

the folder libjpeg has to be inside ur php folder
