Hi,

I do configure in apache with:
./configure --enable-layout=GNU
--enable-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a

Then do configure in php:
./configure
--with-oci8=/ora8i/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6
--with-apache2=/usr/src/httpd-2.0.
43 --with-unixODBC --with-png-dir=/usr
--with-gd=/usr/local --enable-gd-native-tt
--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local --with-zlib-di
r=/usr/local
--with-freetype-dir=/usr/local/include/freetype2
--with-openssl --with-config-file-path=/etc/php
--sysconfdir=
/etc/php --with-pdflib=/usr/local
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --disable-cli
--without-pear --enable-track-var

The configure do ok but the make have the following
error:

/bin/sh libtool --silent --mode=link gcc

Hello. I have php set up as a binary and a DSO. in the binary all scripts
start with some output :
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.2.3
Content-type: text/html

which shows up in /var/mail/user each time any of my scripts run on a cron
job. I have changed the php.ini for this installation to be just
text/plain and tried to stop the HTML taged error messages. but the change
doesn't seem to have taken.

Is there something else.

Thanks
Jeff

Call "php -q" to surpress them.

Hello,

I’m writing a script and want to use cURL, but curl support isn’t
compiled in my PHP at the moment.
Is this difficult to do? Does the following command re-compile PHP and
everything is alright?:

./configure \

--prefix=/usr/local/psa/apache \

--with-regex=php \

--with-apxs=/usr/local/psa/apache/bin/apxs \

--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/psa/apache/conf \

--enable-sockets \

--enable-track-vars \

--with-mysql=/usr/local/psa/mysql \

--with-imap=/root/imap-2002.DEV/imap-2002.DEV.SNAP-0205201832 \

--with-mhash=/usr/local \

--with-pgsql \

--with-zlib-dir=/usr \

--with-gd=/usr \

--with-jpeg-dir=/usr \

--with-png-dir=/usr \

--with-tiff-dir=/usr \

--with-gettext \

--with-xml \

--disable-debug \

--enable-pear \

--with-curl=/usr/bin

Or do I have to do more then this?

Thanks,

Karel

Depends upon which options you want. I suggest you use the existing configure options (obtained from examining the output from phpinfo()) and add the curl option.

Or do I have to do more then this?

Then "make" and "make install". If your php was compiled as a CLI/CGI or as an Apache module then all you need to do is restart Apache. If compiled into Apache then you need to recompile Apache too.

run make distclean first, and cURL must be installed for PHP to include it.

I've installed Apache 2.0.43 from Win binaries and PHP 4.2.3 from Win

By uncomment, I assume you mean you have removed the colon at the beginning of the above line?

in php.ini

I wonder if your php.ini is in the right place? Is it located where phpinfo() says it should be?

I've installed Apache 2.0.43 from Win binaries and PHP 4.2.3 from Win
binaries too.

I don't use those versions or on windows so YMMV.

Hi,

I've just upgraded to MySQL-4.0.5-0 in a RH6.2 (ancient) system, and now I
have this problem with PHP: it compiles --with-mysql but when Apache tries
to start it drops this message:

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 250 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server:
/etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: mkstemp64

If I compile without MySQL, everything works fine. Anyone with the same
problem?.

Thanks in advance.
