The optional fifth parameter to mail() is unconditionally disabled with safe mode turned on in php 4.2.3. A number of (semi-)trusted websites on my servers rely heavily on this parameter which worked fine with safe mode turned on in 4.2.2, so I'm prevented from upgrading to 4.2.3.
Can the php developers be persuaded to make re-enabling the fifth mail() parameter in safe mode a configuration option in coming versions? Best regards, Sven M.
