OK, originally, I configure/maek's/make install'ed. I had and have a working system.....but now I want to either upgrade to a later level of php or re-configure/compile the same release somewhat differently. After configure/compiling in the build directory, I'm ready to install.....
What do I do then....do I remove the old code (how?) before doing the make install or does the make install handle that? I have looked through the faq and manual but can find nothing...
