After considerable aggro getting PHP4 to do whaI wanted, I finally got some joy by setting 'register globals = On' At present I couldn't give a rats whether thats desirable or otherwise .... getting this thing working is the first priority & figuring out the finer points can come later.
Appears my script is working now, although its spitting out a bunch of 'Undefined variable blah blah blah' messages. Would someone please enlighten me on where one find a simple english explanation of how to define variables ??
