I follow the steps in the php manual to install PHP4.2.2 on Redhat 7.3 with Apache4.0.40
1. tar -xzvf httpd-2.0.40-i686-pc-linux-gnu-rh73.tar.gz 2. cd httpd-2.0.40 3. ./configure --prefix=/Apps/apache --enable-module=so 4. make 5. make install 6. tar -xzvf php-4.2.2.tar.gz 7. cd php-4.2.2 8. ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs 9. make 10. make install However, after step 10, it report a Error 1.
