Tasha, If you have the AddType line in htpd.conf with the same extension specified as your test php file then either it is still not correct, or you have more than one httpd.conf and you are editing the wrong one. Just to make sure you are editing the right file, I'd put an error into httpd.conf and check that apache complains about it when restarted.
